Ephesians 1:11-14 (New King James Version)

¹¹ In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, ¹² that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory.
¹³ In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, ¹⁴ who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.

I have been chosen -- hand picked -- for the purpose of being well able to live in His perfect will to the praise of His glory. I became one with Jesus when I responded to the Word, the Gospel of my salvation. When I believed and received Jesus as my Lord and Savior, I was marked in Him with the seal of the Holy Spirit. God's emblem of ownership has been placed on me. I carry His mark! The Holy Spirit, who dwells in my heart, is God's earnest guaranteeing my inheritance in this life until the day when my total redemption is manifested to the praise of His glory.
