It's Gonna Be a Great Day!

Then Peter got down out of the boat, walked on the water and came toward Jesus. [John 14:29]

Peter starts off well, takes a few steps, and begins to sink.
Jesus asks, "Why did you doubt?"

I pause and ponder, "Who did Peter doubt? Jesus or himself?"

And it seems there's a whisper in response...
Same thing.

What I mean is this...
I no longer live but Christ lives in me. [Galatians 2:20]
I'm still quick to protest, "But I have so many weaknesses!"
And then I remember that every promise given and every truth declared was for us, all of us, and none of us have it together.  Our humanity isn't too much for God.

You can make many plans but the Lord's purpose will prevail. [Proverbs 19:21 NLT]

There is nothing God can't do through a heart fully surrendered to Him.  Nothing!

Lead an entire nation through a desert.
Knock down a giant with a single stone.
Fulfill His purpose for your life.

Let's believe that in us, through us, in spite of us... With God all things are possible. [Matthew 19:26]

What does this sound like in our everyday lives?

"This seems impossible for me. But nothing is impossible for the God who lives in me. That means all things really are possible for me too. I can do this with Him."

Now that's good news!

Have a great day rejoicing in it because He created this one just for YOU!

Forwarded Blessing

Someone e-mailed this word of encouragment to me, and I am forwarding this to others, by the leading of the Lord. IT IS SO!

Read Psalm 121

Beloved, once again, you are welcome to your month of divine help. It is established by Heaven that you will receive help this month. Your agent of rescue has been activated to come to your rescue and your helper of destiny commissioned to assist you. You will never be stranded and you will never be boxed-up in a tight corner. Because you have made the Lord your God, He will come through for you miraculously and speedily. He said in His Word, "call unto me, I will answer, I will do great and mighty things that you know not of." That is His promise and He never fails. He will answer you, He will confirm His Word (promises) in your life with signs and wonders. You may have been disappointed last month, you will be appointed this month. You may have been stranded last month, this month you will be rescued (helped). The Lord God will touch the heart of men and women for your sake, He will turn their heart to favor you and cause them to work for you and not against you. The power of God will cause them to release unto you whatever belongs to you. You will never have to wait for long before your miracles manifest. SO shall it be in Jesus name.

HoPe

Hope - what a powerful four-letter word.  I looked the meaning up and found this ...

  1. want or expect something: to have a wish to get or do something or for something to happen or be true, especially something that seems possible or likely
  2. confident desire: a feeling that something desirable is likely to happen
  3. likelihood of success: a chance that something desirable will happen or be possible
Have you given up hope?  It's easy to get to that point sometimes with certain situations.  After all, when you hope and hope and nothing happens - then what?   Then where do you turn?  You say "I give up,"  but what does that mean?  You give up hoping, you give up wanting, you give up living ... what?

I say "no way"!  I won't give up hoping - wanting - expecting ... because my hope is in God.  And as long as my hope is in Him - and not in my own abilities, my own desires, my own self - then my hope is based on truth and truth alone.

Psalm 33:18 tells me that His eyes are on those of us who fear Him, whose hope is in His unfailing love.

His love is boundless.  It's far beyond my capacity to understand for it is true unconditional love.  No matter how many times I say my love is unconditional - I find myself at some point or another putting conditions on it.  Maybe you're way past that - but then again maybe you aren't.

Where's your hope today?  What are you hoping for?  Is it for Him to fulfill His promises??  Well then, I have great news for you!  His promises are "yeah and amen", and He is incapable of breaking His promises!  Woohoo!  That should start your day off right!

Read Psalm 119 today.  It is full of reasons to hope!  You know I "googled" hope this morning and found 471,000,000 results!  Just think about that!
