1 John 2:15-17 (New King James Version)

¹⁵ Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. ¹⁶ For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. ¹⁷ And the world is passing away, and the lust of it; but he who does the will of God abides forever.

TODAY'S PROMISE
The world and its passions will disappear, but those who do My will shall live forever.


WORDS TO LIVE BY
I do not treasure the world or the things the world has to offer because I know that those who treasure and love the world do not have the love of the Father int hem. I also know that the cravings of the fallen nature, the lusts of the eyes and all arrogant boasting does not come from the Father but from the world. The world and all of its treasure will pass away, but I, as a child of the most high God, doing the will of God, will remain and live with Him throughout eternity.
