Words To Live By

Isaiah 61:1-3 (New King James Version)

1 “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me,
Because the LORD has anointed Me
To preach good tidings to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives,
And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD,
And the day of vengeance of our God;
To comfort all who mourn,
3 To console those who mourn in Zion,
To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.”

TODAY'S PROMISE
I will give you an attitude of praise in exchange for your spirit of heaviness.

WORDS TO LIVE BY
The Holy Spirit is within me, and I have the power to preach the gospel to the poor, heal the brokenhearted, set free those held captive by the enemy, release the prisoners from their chains of darkness, proclaim to all that God is not waiting to pounce on them for their wrong-doing but is ready to grant them abundant favor, blessings and life, to comfort those who mourn, provide for those who grieve and present them with a crown of beauty in exchange for their ashes and a garment of praise to break their depression. I am an oak of righteousness, a planting of the Lord to display His love and splendor to the world.
