James 1:16-18 (King James Version)

¹⁶Do not err, my beloved brethren.

¹⁷Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

¹⁸Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.

WORDS TO LIVE BY

I cannot be tricked into thinking that God is the cause of bad things that happen or that He has some purpose in all of the evil that I endure in this life. I know that every good and beneficial gift comes from God. There is nothing deceitful, nothing fickle and nothing two-faced in Him. He never changes, but always remains the same. He is a good God all of the time, and all that He does is good.

Out of the purpose of His own heart, He chose to bring us to life using the Word of Truth and showing us off as the crown of all of His creatures.
