3 Surely he will save you from the fowler's snare
and from the deadly pestilence.
4 He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.
5 You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,
6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.
7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.
8 You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.
9 If you make the Most High your dwelling—
even the LORD, who is my refuge-
10 then no harm will befall you,
no disaster will come near your tent.
11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways
12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.
13 You will tread upon the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.
14 "Because he loves me," says the LORD, "I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.
15 He will call upon me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.
16 With long life will I satisfy him
and show him my salvation."

WORDS TO LIVE BY
I dwell in the secret place of the Most High and live under His shadow. He is my refuge and my fortress--my God, and it is in Him that I trust with all of my heart. I draw near to Him with all that I am. He has delivered me from the snares of the enemy, and He shields me from his deadly diseases. He covers me with His feathers and under His wings I have a hiding place. His Word is my shield and defense.
I am not afraid of the terrors of the night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the plagues or diseases that stalk the darkness, nor the disasters that lay in wait. A thousand may fall at my side and ten thousand at my right hand, but it shall not come near me. He is my Father, and in Him is my fortress. He has given His angels charge over me to keep me in all of my ways. They hold me steady in case I dash my foot against a stone.
In Him I have authority over all the authority of the enemy. I tread on the lion and cobra; the young lion and serpent I trample under my feet. The devil's power over me has been completely stripped away.
God has made a decree (a fixed law) concerning me saying, "I will rescue my child from every calamity; I will protect them because they acknowledge my name. They will call on me,a nd I will answer them. I will be with them in times of trouble. I will deliver them and set them in the place of highest honor. With long life I will satisfy them and show them my salvation." I am humbled at the thought of such love. I am held secure in His tender embrace. I am shielded in His hedge of protection. He is so good!
