Words To Live By

Matt 20:30-34

30Two blind men were sitting by the roadside, and when they heard that Jesus was going by, they shouted, "Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!"

31The crowd rebuked them and told them to be quiet, but they shouted all the louder, "Lord, Son of David, have mercy on us!"

32Jesus stopped and called them. "What do you want me to do for you?" he asked.

33"Lord," they answered, "we want our sight."

34Jesus had compassion on them and touched their eyes. Immediately they received their sight and followed him.

TODAY'S PROMISE

Like the parent in you to your children, I want you to ask me for what you want. I long to hear your voice.

WORDS TO LIVE BY

I know the One in whom I believe. I focus my attention on Him and NOT the crowd (not my fellow Christians, not the ones who claim to be Christians but bear no fruit, not the people in the pew sitting next to me or in front of me or behind me, not the ones calling me on the phone complaining about what's going on and what's not going on in the church body - BTW ... got a complaint ... I tell Daddy God about it - He's got my back - and my front - and both my sides - my top and my bottom!).

When I am shushed for my faith and told to be still, I cry out all the more, praying and SHOUTING to the ONLY One who can set me free.

My Father is alert to my every cry. He notices me. He wants me to tell HIM specifically what I desire from Him so my joy will be complete when He gives it to me. When I give Him my specific request, in harmony with His Word, He calls it done!!

Life's Little Nuggets

What we can or cannot do, what we consider possible or impossible, is rarely a function of our true capability. It is more likely a function of our beliefs about who we are. ~Anthony Robins
